What it does:
SutureSafe® is a non-invasive, adhesive-based device designed to prevent dehiscence and relieve tension on primarily closed wounds and incisions.
Unlike regular strips that have no elastomeric segment, SutureSafe® is designed to apply a gentle elastic force providing support to the wound. SutureSafe® bridges the incision line and draws the tensioned wound margins together placing them in compression. This isolates the wound relieving dehiscive forces and allowing the patient to move without sharp pain. The results are instant and dramatic.

When it is used:
SutureSafe is indicated whenever a surgical wound is closed under high tension, is at risk of dehiscing due to infection, is located on or near a joint, and anytime a patient’s mobility is being limited by incisional pain.

How it works:
SutureSafe® is designed to flex with body movement. A limiter film above the tension-relieving elastomer protects against any direct tension on the suture line caused by sneezing, coughing or other sudden movements. The clear elastomer and clear limiter allow excellent wound visibility. With no adhesive directly on the suture line, removal is pain free.
