What it does:
DynaClose Topical Pre-operative Skin Expansion (TPSE) is a non-invasive, topically applied adhesive-based device that stretches skin prior to a surgical intervention, creating a depot of skin that allows a primary closure after defect or flap excision.

When it is used:
While its primary indication is skin closure, DynaClose is also indicated whenever a skin defect or flap that is to be surgically removed is large enough that the resulting wound may not be primarily closeable under tolerable tension.
Why it is used:
Benefits
- Pre-operatively expands skin around a defect
- Creates a depot of viable skin to cover defect
- Enables tension-free excision surgery and primary closure
- Creates low-tension healing environment
|
Features
- Applied topically (atraumatic)
- Physician prescribed, patient managed
- Eliminates multi-staged surgical procedures
- Significantly improves cosmetic results
|
How it works:
Unlike invasive skin expanders, DynaClose's gentle but unrelenting tension aligns collagen fibers and encourages new cell generation, preparing the area for defect excision and primary closure. The inherent elasticity of both the adhesive fabric and the silicone elastomer allow patient mobility as the device works.
