What it does:
DynaCleft gently guides soft tissues and bone into a better position for a cleft lip repair under less tension. Unlike conventional tape, DynaCleft provides
a constant approximation force with an elastic center that allows it to conform to the baby's mouth even when the baby is feeding or crying. The skin-friendly
adhesive fabric distributes tension over a large area of skin resulting in less irritation and less frequent change-outs.
Developed in collaboration with cleft palate teams, DynaCleft significantly advances pre-surgical taping techniques, resulting in reduced tension both during and after surgery.

When it is used:
DynaCleft is indicated for use in controlling and approximating the soft tissues of a cleft lip.
For best results, DynaCleft is used as early as possible in the child's life, usually from the time they are
10 days old until their cleft lip repair surgery, then again after surgery to reinforce the repair.
